The AANS/CNS Section on Pediatric Neurological Surgery offers a dedicated educational seminar for the Advanced Practice Providers (APP). The seminar provides an evidence-based care of pediatric neurosurgical patients in a series of lectures highlighting current research and hands-on portion for an opportunity to practice various skills such as shunt interrogation and reprogramming, baclofen pump refills and troubleshooting, monitoring and troubleshooting of EVDs and ICP monitors.
Learning Objectives: After completing this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Apply principles of updated, evidence-based practice guidelines for treatment of neurosurgical disease processes.
- Identify pediatric radiographic abnormalities and determine appropriate studies needed to evaluate these abnormalties.
