This course is designed to give important information on the changing landscape within neurosurgery and pain management. There has been tremendous growth in neuromodulation and its implementation. Discussions include technique and complication avoidance, a review on healthcare economics and growth and strategies to implement into one’s practice.

Learning Objectives: After completing this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the various pain management techniques for a neurosurgeon.
  • Identify techniques for implantation of neuromodulation devices.
  • Recognize indications for appropriate patient selection.
