The current management strategy for the majority of incidental findings on cranial imaging studies such as incidental discovery of cranial tumors, Chiari malformation and vascular lesions, including aneurysms and AVMs, are discussed. The appropriate management is reviewed and emphasized with case illustrations.
Learning Objectives: After completing this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Determine the appropriate management of common incidental imaging findings on brain imaging.
- Recognize when further follow-up imaging is necessary, as well as when no further follow-up is needed.
- Discuss the reasons why a particular incidental finding needs intervention.
