Ongoing clinical trials for ICH continue to generate excitement based on preliminary reports. The rationale and enrollment updates for the ENRICH, MIND and INVEST trials are presented. The conclusions of the MISTIE 3 study and the proposed goals for the MISTIE 4 trial are discussed.
Learning Objectives: After completing this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the technical aspects of the techniques employed in each clinical trial, patient selection criteria and preliminary data.
- Review the results of MISTIE 3 and discuss the goals set forward for MISTIE 4.
- Present patient selection criteria for surgical evacuation of ICH beyond clinical trials based on available evidence and FDA cleared devices.
